first post.

i've started this blog to keep myself honest.
i'm a runner; it defines me and the way i view the world. without running i feel like i've got nothing, and i know that's dramatic but it's what i've learned about myself throughout my injury-riddled past.

i'm done with overdoing it. overtraining and under-resting was my M.O. but not anymore.

so, i'll start with posting today's workout.

7 miles (around town)
8:13 pace (forcibly slow)
hip hurts. can feel the muscle. definitely need some muscle release therapy a la tami.
did 30 minute stretching and core routine (runner's world core values workout + some of my usual ab moves, and a post-run 15 minute stretch routine off of running times' website)

i also walked ~3 miles today, very leisurely. gorgeous day.

i'm a lot less hungry when i don't do an hour of EFX and pool running + 3 miles of running. go figure, hah.
